The Designer, The Photographer, The Muse

Peggy Mofitt was the quintessential American beauty icon of the 60s and 70s. Her status was cemented by her collaborative work with fashion designer Rudi Gernreich and late husband, the photographer William Claxton. An avid Jazz & photography fiend, I stumbled upon this ongoing exhibit, The Total Look while searching for some of Claxton's iconic Jazz photography. The exhibit at The MoCA Los Angeles runs through May 20th and highlights their collaboration with exclusive photos and film footage created by the three prolific California artists.
